Reflection

The reason I felt the need to bring this story to light is because I wanted to highlight veterans’ experiences when transitioning from military life to civilian life, and how in most cases, it is almost never easy. One of the main challenges I faced while creating the interview was adapting the story from a written feature into a video format. I had to make several changes, including cutting a lot of content from the original feature story, in order to make it fit more like a news-style interview video. I drew inspiration from KVCR and tried to mimic how they report their news by transitioning stories from written formats into broadcast and podcast-style presentations.
